I've been going here since 2018. My first primary care doc was an absolute joke. Didn't seem to care who I was or what I needed. After a year or so, I established with Doc Perez. Talk about a night and day difference. Ive gotten treatment for everything and still receive amazing care. The ER department has been stellar, as well. If you need a blood draw, show up real early and you'll be done within an hour. Show up around lunch time, expect to sit for a long time (hours) due to everyone showing up around then. Imaging has been pretty quick. My only annoyance has been with PT. They made me wait 3 months for an appointment, and then changed the date and location for it last minute. Other than that, this has been a fantastic facility not worthy of the negativity I'm seeing from 7+ years ago.

Exceptional medical services! The volunteers are wonderful and go above and beyond! My experience is that every facet of the medical center and VA services are professional and courteous doing their best to provide top notch and innovative care for thousands of veterans with a myriad of needs. Bravo Zulu!!!

I have been coming to Bay Pines VA since 2004. It is one of the best VA Hospitals in the country, and better than some of the civilian hospitals in the area.

I’m a Vietnam veteran and I have been treated by the VA for quite a long time and I have nothing but thanks to everyone for your fine care and understanding for myself and my brothers and sisters that served and all of our areas of conflict throughout the world. As a Gulf War Vet I can not believe all the bashing of the VA medical center in St. Pete. My primary care Dr. is outstanding. MOD D.I always get a quick referral for any follow up treatment and the staff is nothing but first class. Only complaint would be after I was admitted from the ER for 2 days the food served on the floor is not good at all. If your going to be admitted make arrangements for outside food if possible.

This is a great Veterans hospital! It offers a wide range of services in one spot. It has an excellent volunteer escort service that provides wheelchairs to vets entering the hospital and helps internal patients to arrive at their appointments. All the hospital staff are courteous and professional. The medical services are on par with that of any hospital. Veteran snow birds save their medical neeeds for this hospital services.

It is a hospital, cemetery, primary doctors, etc. for our Veterans.... established in 1930s. Lots of history behind this beautiful hospital ❤️. It sits on the water. Many go visit their loved ones & hang out. Very kind staff of all kind. Beautiful area. There is Bay Pines boat ramp & Park next door with sights of an old tank, water access, and more. So Google see the area plus research the history of how it came about & what it once was & now is ❤️
