Believe all the negative reviews. This place lost my reservation despite confirming it. Make all your changes on the app, because the staff here will leave you stranded without a room.
I booked a three month stay here and my arrival was delayed by a couple of days. I called four times- to sales, reservations, and the front desk informing them of the situation and to hold the reservation. I left my number with the sales team, who booked my reservation, and no one returned the call. Reservations put a note in the computer to hold the reservation.
I called to confirm the reservation two hours before my arrival, because yes, parking is awful. Everything was confirmed yet when I arrived, there was no room for me.
Not only that, they manager who came out was very rude and made no effort to find an alternative hotel. I was left stranded.
I was starting a new job and now I need to find a new hotel, despite making this reservation two months ago.
Even though the rooms look nice, it's not worth the headache.
Do not trust the staff because they will lie to you.

Hotel staff Nancy Jennings-Sowers and Olivia Monical were amazing. We stayed for a family wedding; they were sure to show early and stay late to make sure every detail was tended to.

Ikea at the front desk was also extremely accommodating. We had lots of guests with different needs and wants and she handled every request with such grace and professionalism. We will back!

Great location, right next to Whole Foods and a plethora of restaurants you can walk to.

Clean room, very good service from desk staff.

Just a few notes: I tried to find a trash can on the 6th floor or the 7th floor where we had a meeting. No trash cans to be found. Had to use the one the restroom and/or actually go back to my room to throw something out. It's a little weird.

When I left the hotel once to run an errand, there were two cigarette butts on the rug right at the front of the main door entry to the hotel lobby and I had to step over them. The valet staff didn't seem to notice the butts or make an attempt to clean them up. It was pretty gross. This would have been a good time for a trashcan - or a cigarette receptacle.

There are better hotels in nicer parts of town that are more convenient and cheaper than Element. The ($45+ tips) overnight parking from a third party valet is predatory. Don't get screwed, stay somewhere else.

It is not about the hotel physically the hotel is beautiful and its location is great, but the service is absolutely horrible. I am a Marriott gold member soon to be platinum. I don’t know for how much longer. Because I have an active duty member that stay with me in an active duty DOD member that stay with me and they refuse to give me the government rate because we were on leisure So if your military don’t stay here every other hotel at Marriott will let me use my active duty DOD and government ID I’ve never had any issues and I am very upset. I wrote an email to them to see if they could help with this discrepancy but they will not. They will not budge. They charge me full price I was under the government rate for $190 For our family trip that I guess was on the weekend of a concert when I got there they wouldn’t accept my ID so I looked around. There was no other hotels nearby so I accepted the price that they gave me which was $500. That’s how much plus parking like that’s absolutely insane. It was the worst experience because I was away from my home I live in Orlando. And I can’t just drive back because the traffic was really bad because of the hurricanes that have happened but apparently they don’t care if they did they would let me have my rate of $190 and I would just pay the valet parking that I had to have because there’s no other parking— They don’t care about the people they only care about their business and their money very corrupt!! I will never be staying here again!!! And neither will any of my military people— Semper Fi !!!

Exceptional Stay at The Element Hotel in Midtown Tampa

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Element hotel in Midtown Tampa and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. The property itself is stunning, boasting modern aesthetics and top-notch amenities that made my stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. I was thrilled to receive a beautiful upgrade, which made my stay even more special.

As someone who frequently stays at various Marriott properties due to my job, I can confidently say that The Element stands out as a gem.One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking rooftop bar and pool. The view from the rooftop is spectacular, providing a perfect spot to unwind and relax after a busy day. The ambiance is both vibrant and serene, making it an ideal place to spend the evening.The service throughout my stay was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests' comfort did not go unnoticed.

Overall, I highly recommend The Element hotel in Midtown Tampa to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious stay. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Tampa. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable!

I adored this place right in DT Tampa. The building actually shares real estate with Aloft. There's a penthouse bar/restaurant and pool. There are shops and restaurants all around. The room was very nice, comfortable, soft bed. And absolutely loved the breakfast which was included.

I am appalled by our experience at the Element Hotel in Tampa. My teenage daughter was assaulted by someone who had previously attacked a hotel employee, the hotel failed to call the police after that initial incident. This negligence put my daughter and other guests at risk. The hotel's lack of action and failure to protect its guests is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid this place until the management takes responsibility and implements proper safety measures. No one should have to endure what we went through. Police informed, raport were taken.
