Kids had an absolute blast. Had to leave cause we had something in but could have been there from open to close! Really interesting exhibits and the kids absolutely adored the water exhibit in the children’s area - which had been added since our last visit.

The science show was engaging, exciting and informative too.

When clicking my seat I actually thought I got a back seat. But it was the front and the film from than angle isn’t watchable ? … it’s a massive screen which is curved there is heavy distortion from this view ? Am not sure why you have put the seats so close ? I left immediately maybe thinking I could get money back but manager didn’t offer anything just says yeah cause it’s curved.

I feel like there should be full transparency on this for anyone at the front seats ? Maybe there is and I missed it ? Would you be able to tell me if you guys are telling people about the distortion before you sell tickets ?

This was the first time I have been to the IMAX but won’t be back, instant regret

Side note staff were all very friendly and they are only doing what they can with what they have.

For anyone going to the IMAX I would avoid the first 5 rows

Great place for kids and variety of science galleries and hands-on displays.
Bit disappointed with the planetarium show, was expecting some nice story and advanced graphics. But can understand, it's all about kids at first. To mention, the staff is humble and always there to assist and guide.

Tremendous sound and visuals, comfy seats, great popcorn and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Excellent! It was well worth travelling the two hour drive to go.
BUT no coffee, no draught coke etc only cans. Dreadfully selection of confectionery. The hotdogs were the same quality i would expect from a tin, and the sauce was watery and tasteless, though the bread was tasty.

Went to see Oppenheimer. The screen size was excellent, but the sound was not as good as it should be. It was too loud in the upper mid range, making it sound harsh. Also, no ventilation, so after a 3 hour film, it was roasting hot. Thankfully, it was raining when we left ! We had a 1hr 20min drive to get there, and we are glad we made the effort to go, but tbh, I don't think we would go again. Would really like to go to the BFI IMAX in London for the real deal. It has the 15/70mm film projector rather than Glasgows twin 4k laser projector setup.

UPDATE : Well, we went back to see Jurassic Park in 3D, and it was awesome ?. Speaking with the staff, IMAX personel had been along and sorted the sound, and boy, did they do a good job. We have since also been to see Queen live in Montreal, Dune, and Dune Part 2. The sound is now the best I've ever heard in any cinema. Picture is great on such a massive screen. Can't wait for our next visit. This cinema has re ignited my love of cinema. Well done to the staff at Glasgow Science Centre IMAX.

A great 3D experience, enjoyed the screening with the family. A small cafe in the ground floor and popcorn outlet in the first floor. Booked the imax ticket along with science museum. Really enjoyed.

It's decent but a shame it's not often got newer films on show.
However every screening I have seen here has been great.
