Dr McGaugh has been my doctor for many years.
He has always given undivided attention, let me ask all the questions I need to (without rushing me) and very comfortable to talk to.
He gives the answers to help me with whatever is medically needed.
I appreciate his kindness, caring, professional attitude and knowledge.
I hope he doesn’t retire too soon, it will be very difficult to find a great doctor like him!!
Thank you Dr McGaugh 🙂

The good Doc has been looking after me for many years now. I feel very fortunate to have a PCP who actually listens and creates plans as required based on his observations, test results, and my input. Feels like a partnership.
I highly recommend Dr. Ronald Mcgaugh!

I had completed/update forms (that allowed me to update) a couple of days prior to my 10A appt but was asked to fill in one form that she claimed she sent via my phone that morning. I didn't receive it so I filled out a printed version. This front desk person was so unpleasant. I noticed there was nothing pleasant to the other patients that came in either. When I was finally called in for my appointment, the initial intake assistant (nurse?), was able to update information on the system that I could not. She used a BP machine that gave an irrationally high BP ready and claimed that it could be the machine. However, no manual BP reading was offered. When Dr. McGaugh finally came in, I told him about the BP reading and showed him my home logging of my BPs (which I do for my cardiologist) and he wasn't concerned about the high office reading and brushed it off, but it stays in my medical record anyway!!! I spent maybe 10-12 minutes tops with him. He seemed indifferent. I didn't have questions but then neither did he. After waiting more time to get into lab for blood work, I was told that the order was sent to CPL. I said I expected labs to be in office since I was fasting. Finally got into lab and lab tech was wearing a mask. Didn't think anything about it until she asked me to BREATH WITH MY FACE POINTING AWAY FROM HER. What She said that was her preference since I wasn't wearing a mask. Oh my gosh! I was finally done and left. This visit was not good. Another complaint I made to the initial intake assistant was that there was no way for me, as the patient, to update, via the portal, the laundry list of old medications/vitamins I don't take and doctors I don't/haven't ever seen. Besides the constant waiting, for the doc, the lab work, the tech, etc., this was not a good experience. I did get the results of my lab work back today and sent a question to Dr. McGaugh via the portal about changing the dosage of my thyroid medication since it had to be renewed. The answer I got was a "canned" response that said if I needed refills the pharmacy would call the doctor. Seriously? If the dosage for my script needed to change, it would be a NEW prescription not a REFILL. How lame was that? While, this visit, all the staff in McGaugh's office were not familiar to me, and I assumed them to be "new", there's no excuse for their lack of patient rapport. The only pleasant person was the initial intake assistant/nurse who spent more time with me than anyone. Not a good experience.

I had an unpleasant experience at this office, especially with the front desk staff. When I arrived, I greeted the receptionist, but she didn’t acknowledge me or respond. She came across as rude and unprofessional, ignoring my questions with a dismissive attitude. When I asked to speak to a manager, she told me that a manager was unavailable and wouldn’t speak with me.

I scheduled my appointment well in advance, but the receptionist claimed it was set up elsewhere and had no relation to their office, leaving me confused and frustrated. I would not recommend this place based on my experience with their front desk staff’s poor attitude and lack of professionalism.

Two weeks ago, I made an appointment with this doctor on 11:00am 8/15/2024. Just now, 16:10pm 8/14/2024 , they called me and told me this doctor doesn’t take new patients and ask me to reschedule with another doctor. Fix your appointment system!!!

If you are a new patient and this doctor accepts you. I would appreciate you can leave a message and let me know.

What a great experience. Staff was extremely nice. Doctor was fantastic and was referred to get a scan. While driving away from the office, I received a call from the Cedar Park regional to schedule my scan. Fast service. Great customer service. Best experience I’ve received.
